RainMaker serves as a reflection on our inherent desire to influence nature, referencing age-old practices like rain dances that embodied a closer connection to the elements. It invites contemplation on our contemporary disconnection from the natural world and prompts consideration of the wisdom embedded within traditional approaches that fostered a harmonious coexistence with nature. By juxtaposing the stillness of the turbulent landscape and impending storm with the rhythmic movement of the figure, I aim to evoke a sense of awe and invite introspection about our ongoing struggle to find equilibrium and harmony with nature. Using stop motion animation allows me to add a dynamic quality and emphasize the transformative power of movement.
