Peach Blossom #1/7

This animation has been inspired by traditional Japanese Noren—delicately painted blinders made from handwoven hemp that are used in shops, restaurants, or public bathhouses for sunshade, as dividers, and to indicate that they are open. Indoors, they separate rooms or prevent kitchen smoke and smells from spreading to other rooms.

The fragile animation combines the traditional theme with a strange translucency, hinting at the semi synthetic nature of the plant, merging its heritage and beauty with an uncanny artificial component.
