In a world where time had taken its toll on the magnificent creatures that once roamed freely across the vast savannah landscapes, there emerged a tale of resilience, love, and hope. This story centers around Najin and Fatu, the last remaining species of the Northern white rhinoceros. Najin and Fatu were not merely rhinos; they were symbols of an era gone by. There are only 5 species of rhino in the world and none is as endangered as the Northern white rhino. Sudan was the last male white rhino to walk the face of the earth. There are only two survivors left and are highly protected at their home, Ol Pejeta Conservancy in Kenya, a sanctuary that provides them protection from the relentless tide of change. The once-teeming savannas had given way to human progress, but in this sanctuary, Najin and Fatu found a refuge. Rhinoceros have existed for 40 million years but its only in the last 100 years that we’ve been responsible for their tragic demise.
