“Marta’s Orbit” is a reflection of the struggles we face when attempting to forgive ourselves and others. Inspired by the story of Martha of Bethany, I explore the journey of forgiveness and reconciliation. The painting is a representation of the cyclical nature of forgiveness, with each orbit representing the forgiving of one’s self or another. The process of forgiveness is a long and winding road, but the journey is ultimately worth it.
