AFRICA'S INVISIBLE UNIVERSE
Africa with its tribal mask opened the door to modernism in the 20th Century. Now it is again revolutionising art form with the use of technology imbued with the same spirituality which was the secret of its mask. Africa and the Diaspora share a mindset tied to the cosmos. From earliest times long before traders; missionaries and colonial powers imposed their beliefs on Africa, this was a continent without a written tradition. Its culture was passed down orally and visually from the ancestors of old who believed in man’s connectivity with the universe through the gods.
